Job Description
As a key member of the Marine Commercial Service team, you will serve as the primary operational contact for after-sales activity for specific Marine customers. The team ensures vessel maintenance, operation, and upgrades throughout their lifecycle.
The Service Delivery Manager will oversee the commercial management of customer inquiries related to after-sales service, conversions, modernization, and upgrades (CMU), and manage long-term service contracts. You will coordinate the delivery of spares, remote support, and field service engineering for GE-developed systems powering offshore vessels across various industries.
You will interact with internal teams, suppliers, and global customers on projects ranging from small service orders to multi-million-dollar initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Building and enhancing customer relationships.
* Managing Long Term Service Agreements, including reactive and planned maintenance on Marine vessels globally.
* Handling daily reporting, resourcing, and planning activities for service contracts and ad-hoc requests.
* Controlling costs and providing financial reporting for service orders.
* Liaising with technical support, field engineers, and project managers to deliver technical, contractual, and financial solutions.
Candidate Profile
* Extensive experience in customer service industry.
* Customer advocate with excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Strong multitasking and time management skills.
* Understanding of financial processes such as invoicing, revenue recognition, and debt management.
* Experience negotiating contracts and claims.
* Legal right to work in the UK and ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
* Engineering background or technical knowledge.
* Experience managing offshore service accounts.
* Ability to handle unexpected inquiries while maintaining priorities and timeliness.
* Ability to balance business requirements with customer satisfaction.
