Mental Health Adviser

Hours
37 hours per week. Flexible working options available: part time applications will be considered on a job‑share basis or stand alone with sufficient hours for the role to be covered. If applying on a part-time or job-share basis please state the hours you require to work. The role requires working until 6.00 pm every day due to our hub opening times.
Location
Kings Lynn will be your main base of work. There will be a requirement for you to be able to travel to locations other than your main base to attend meetings and provide occasional cover when necessary.
Salary
Starting salary £30,561 per annum with incremental progression based on performance to £32,862 per annum.

We are excited to be recruiting a Mental Health Adviser for our Kings Lynn Hub, delivering impartial and confidential mental health advice sessions for young people accessing our three open access advice drop‑ins every week alongside face‑to‑face and telephone/remote appointments.
We are looking for an individual who can effectively deliver mental health advice while maintaining excellent communication with the Duty Senior and wider advice service to maintain our countywide service standards.
Our NHS-approved service provision offers young people living in the Kings Lynn and West Norfolk area the following: a triage of presenting needs, advice on managing mild‑moderate mental health symptoms, safety planning when required – and referral to our counselling offer and/or referrals to other sources of support (both internal and external).
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with young people with mental health symptoms.
* Ideally recognised qualification in mental health.
* Experience of working collaboratively with other organisations and partner agencies.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Excellent communication, problem solving and time management skills.
* MAP values.
This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
