Owing to continued success, DPS are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our business. The primary responsibility of the project engineer is to oversee the technical aspects of projects and complete scheduled projects on time, within budget, and as per specifications, while ensuring the highest level of Health and Safety throughout the project lifecycle.
The role requires managing technical projects with high collaboration across DPS Group departments to oversee personnel, budgets, and planning, aiming to meet project expectations and minimize Health & Safety, financial, or technical risks.
As a project and client lead, you will coordinate with all stakeholders across the project, interpreting their needs, expectations, and limitations to ensure successful delivery.
While primarily home/office-based, you will spend significant time on-site across multiple projects as needed.
Key Duties Include:
1. Promote high standards of leadership in HSEQ procedures, ensuring compliance with DPS procedures and legal obligations.
2. Assist in maintaining our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications.
3. Act as the client liaison throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations.
4. Collaborate with vendors and DPS departments, including Automation Process Control, Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning, to ensure project completion.
5. Manage project financials within budget.
6. Build positive relationships with customers, serving as the primary contact for technical and implementation matters.
7. Develop technical specifications and Health & Safety documentation for subcontractors, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
8. Create and update project plans using Microsoft Project in collaboration with clients and department managers.
9. Generate and submit project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Complete training to a high standard and pursue ongoing professional development.
11. Report incidents or near misses immediately and assist with related documentation.
Requirements:
* Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, or Mechatronics degree or equivalent experience with recognized apprenticeship.
* ECS H&S card (preferred).
