Messingham Primary School is seeking a committed and flexible Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team. You will be based in the school’s main office, supporting the Office Manager with a range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school for the benefit of our pupils, families, staff, and wider community. We are looking for someone who can: • Provide routine clerical and administrative support, including typing and photocopying• Answer telephone and face-to-face enquiries from staff, parents, and the public• Maintain and retrieve information using manual and electronic systems• Handle incoming and outgoing mail• Support stock control and inventory management• Maintain pupil records, attendance logs, awards data, and other documentation• Respect confidentiality at all times• Be First Aid trained (or willing to undertake training, which will be provided) We would ideally like someone with: • Experience using school administrative and financial systems (e.g. Arbor or similar)• Good IT skills and confidence with a range of administrative systems• A friendly, approachable manner and the ability to work well within a team We can tailor the role to suit the experience and development needs of the successful candidate, and appropriate training will be provided. We may also consider applications from candidates interested in the role as part of an apprenticeship.
