Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our well established client. The successful applicant will be carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance to all site plant and equipment, resolving equipment failures and carrying out planned and unplanned engineering tasks in a responsive and effective manner.
Responsibilities:
Working safely at all times, escalating issues that present a hazard to yourself or others including all persons on site or members of the public.
Following company / local site rules and adherence to company values.
Respond to breakdowns, systematically find faults, identify root cause and then implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Carry out planned maintenance and identify continuous improvements to increase equipment efficiency.
Work with production, support groups and suppliers to implement improvement opportunities to increase equipment efficiency and safety and reduce engineering downtime.
Identify and implement improvements to equipment to increase process robustness and reliability.
Complete documentation to record completed individual tasks and plan departmental workload using the site CMMS.
Qualifications & Skills:
Pneumatics, hydraulics demonstrable on the job experience is a requirement.
Experience & understanding of an automated process environment is essential.
Driving mobile plant on the site only HGV / Telehandler / FLT (full training given).
Full driving licence to drive company van to attend call outs and fetch parts etc.
Multi-skilled to some degree with credible, demonstrable electrical and / or mechanical experience in an industrial maintenance environment in addition to a core discipline.
Minimum NVQ level 3 / BTEC / City & Guilds.
PLC / Scada / Controls understanding.
Qualified Mechanic / Electrical / Multiskilled having served a recognised apprenticeship.
Rotating weekly shifts: mornings (6am–2pm), afternoons (2pm–10pm), and nights (10pm–6am), from Sunday night to Friday night.
Starting salary: £43,000 to £45,000 Per Annum.
