We are recruiting full‑time Theatre Healthcare Support Workers to work as part of our operating theatre team. This role provides support to Registered Theatre Practitioners and offers progressive learning and career progression opportunities.

Main Duties
The Theatre Healthcare Assistant is an important member of our operating theatre team, providing support to our Registered Theatre Practitioners. You will undertake a range of activities within theatre under the supervision of a Senior Theatre Healthcare Support Worker or Registered Theatre Practitioner, and may work towards completion of the Care Certificate and in‑house theatre competencies to progress. Career progression is encouraged, with many of our Theatre HCSWs progressing to Nurse or ODP training.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential criteria
* Good communication skills, able to communicate respectfully verbally and in writing
* Ability to work well in a team
* A QCF Level 3 qualification (NVQ, BTEC or equivalent) or equivalent experience
* Basic computer skills
* Must be committed to a caring approach to patients & relatives
Desirable criteria
* Previous experience of working as a Healthcare Assistant
* Education to GCSE grade C or equivalent in key skills level 2 or functional skills level 2 (Numeracy/Literacy)
* Experience of working in the Health and Social Care environment
