Job description We are currently looking for a new People Administrator to join our People team at Cambridge Education Group! About the role As a People Administrator, you will work with a team of people professionals to support and manage administrative processes across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment & onboarding to offboarding and payroll. The role will entail undertaking a variety of administrative duties both independently and with support from the wider People Team. You will have a key role in ensuring the smooth running of HR and payroll processing, maintaining employee records in compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. This is a great opportunity to work and learn from a professional and diverse people team and obtain a solid foundation of experience in people administration with the opportunity to later progress in either HR or Payroll specialties. The role is on a full-time, permanent basis with the location in Cambridge, United Kingdom. We operate under a Hybrid Working schedule - with the possibility to work 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. Other activities as a People Administrator: Process administrative tasks for the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding, to changes to employment, offboarding and payroll. Administer all new starter paperwork and processes e.g. pre-employment checks, references and induction. Process and review changes to employee records on the HRIS system (iTrent) including (but not limited to) contract variations, absence, and deductions in line with monthly payroll deadlines. Work with the Group Payroll Manager to ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time using all relevant payroll systems. Provide first line support for incoming queries from colleagues across the group via the ticketing system, phone and email. Ensure all employee personnel files are set up legally and kept up to date. Provide day-to-day administration of various employee benefits e.g. healthcare, salary sacrifice and pensions benefits. Ensure the maintenance of employee records, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with general copying, filing, archiving of documents as required. Provide a high level of customer service. Aspects we will be looking for: Educated to at least GCSE standard, with passes at Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. Good IT skills; ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook. Training will also be given. Excellent relationship building skills. Excellent numeracy skills with an ability to complete manual calculations when required. High level of attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, in person, by telephone and in email. Exceptional time management & organisational skills, has the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines. A friendly professional manner. Driven and self-motivated.
