Overview
Senior Clinical Fellow in Acute Medicine position at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. Role based in the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) and Medical Same Day Emergency Care (mSDEC) at Royal Derby Hospital. Aimed at middle grade doctors seeking to gain further experience and confidence in acute medicine, with opportunities to work closely with consultant physicians across subspecialties.
Responsibilities
* Work on MAU shifts: 08:00-16:00, 15:00-00:30, 20:30-08:30; Saturdays and Sundays 08:00-21:00, 20:30-08:30.
* Work on mSDEC shifts: 08:00-16:00, 11:00-19:00, 15:00-23:00.
* Support the nursing team, other middle grade doctors, junior medical staff and the Consultant Physician on MAU/mSDEC.
Qualifications
* At least 4 years post-qualification experience (UK or abroad) with experience in Acute Medicine or related medical specialties.
* Experience and confidence with NHS systems and practices (or equivalent).
* Full MRCP qualification.
* Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practice at the time of application.
