Hospital Sterilisation and Disinfection (HSDU) Technician at County site with cover at Royal Stoke site.
Overview
Fully flexible job role. Shift patterns may be changed at short notice. Suitable candidates will be introduced to a practical, busy, and interesting role within the North Midlands Health Service.
Shift Patterns
Days: 06:00 - 14:00, Twilight: 14:00 – 22:00, Nights: 22:00 - 06:00. Saturday and Sunday working incorporated within working hours. Permanent weekends with a back‑fill day off. On‑call and bank holiday rota essential.
Responsibilities
Provide service for the supply and maintenance of surgical instruments: collection, cleaning, disinfection, packaging, sterilisation and delivery to operating theatres, wards, departments, clinics and GP surgeries.
Qualifications
Good standard of education, literacy and numeracy skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to read small letters and follow written instructions.
Training and Experience
No experience necessary; full in‑house training provided. Short test is part of the interview and unit tour.
