About the role: We are seeking a proactive, highly organised individual to provide maternity cover within our Bid Management team. This is a varied and rewarding position, ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a positive, adaptable approach. This is a fixed-term position, and we welcome both part-time and full-time applications. There is potential for the role to become permanent upon completion of the fixed-term contract We do not expect candidates to have prior experience in every aspect of the role — full training and support will be provided. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your attention to detail, and your ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment. Location: Bowburn What we will expect from you: Tender & PQQ Support ​ ​ Downloading tender documents from online portals and distributing them to relevant colleagues Helping maintain tender logs, trackers, and document lists to ensure information is accurate and up to date Bid Coordination Assisting in the preparation of high-quality bid documents using existing templates Helping to ensure all work meets required standards for accuracy, clarity, and presentation Document Production Supporting tasks such as printing, organising and assembling submission documents Formatting bid materials provided by others in Word, Excel or PowerPoint Internal Communication ​ ​ Building positive working relationships and contributing to a supportive team environment Qualifications: ​ Proficient in Microsoft word ​ Confidence using other Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook etc) Attributes & Skills: ​ Essential - Strong organisational and administrative skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Is reliable, approachable, and adaptable Has a “can do” attitude and a willingness to learn new tasks Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to a busy office environment Remains calm and organised when handling multiple tasks Full Clean Driving licence Desirable (but not required) - Experience working in a busy office or supporting project-based teams Familiarity with document formatting or bid preparation
