An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant to work within the School Nursing Service across the SBUHB.
The Senior Healthcare Assistant will work within the Schools and the Community supporting the School Nurse and the School Nursing Team targeting school aged children.
The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Healthcare Assistant will work within the Schools and the Community supporting the School Nurse and the School Nursing Team targeting school aged children.
They will have experience of working with children and young people. They should have a caring and confident attitude and excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
They will have ability to follow procedures, maintain neat and legible records and contribute to reports and have good organisational skills.

1. Minimum of Qualification Credit Framework – QCF Level 3 (formerly NVQ Level 3) in Health or equivalent knowledge and experience
2. Knowledge and understanding of the: Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales, Fundamental aspects of care and the importance of the promotion of health and wellbeing
