Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Associates Degree preferred.
* 3+ years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime of production equipment.
* Desire to understand how equipment performs and learn the process requirements of the production equipment.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities, strong math and software systems operations skills.
* Ability to comprehend schematics, wiring diagrams and circuit theory; troubleshooting capabilities to resolve equipment operation problems with limited system description.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Desire to apply the philosophy of continuous improvement and safety in all areas.
* Able to operate stationary and handheld power tools, forklifts, man-lifts and work at height.
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
* 3rd shift: 11 PM – 7:30 AM, Sunday PM to Friday AM.
* Training will take place on 1st shift – 7 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday).
Job Summary
Repair and maintenance of manufacturing production machines and support equipment. Inspect, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment and electrical systems, including precision machined tooling, PLC, variable speed drives, control panel circuitry, high temperature ovens, facility power and HVAC.
Job Responsibilities
* Must observe and enforce all safety rules, working conditions and habits of employees.
* Maintain, troubleshoot and repair process and facility mechanical and electrical equipment.
* Perform routine electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance (PM/PdM) and inspection of process and facility support equipment.
* Assist in emergency troubleshooting and repair of process and facility equipment with plant personnel, contractors and vendors.
* Oversee contractor electrical upgrades and repairs, and maintain electrical code compliance.
* Ensure exterior safety of the facility.
* Maintain shop cleanliness in accordance with company 5S policy and guidelines.
* Monitor, maintain and purchase inventory of replacement components.
Comments / Special Instructions
Briefly explain what the temp will be doing in the role. As a maintenance technician, this role is expected to make minor repairs of machinery, such as belts, hoses and fuses, in addition to general preventative maintenance on various tools such as pallet jacks, sealers and adjustable tables. There will also be minor building repairs, such as light painting and patching of holes on walls, etc.
Are the working hours in the system correct? 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Yes, the shift is from 11 PM to 7:30 AM.
How many days is training? 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. This is dependent on the candidate and how quickly they catch on; it can be a few weeks or up to a month or two.
What experiences will stand out on a resume for this position (Must haves vs Nice to have)? Experience in manufacturing repairs, working with belt-driven machines; pneumatic or hydraulic experience is a plus. Handyman experience isn't the ideal fit for this role.
Will there be a possibility of an extension for this role or is this temp-to-perm? Yes, this is a temp-to-perm opportunity.
Will overtime be offered? Yes, available as needed.
What would the interview process look like (in-person or Teams, will there be a 2nd interview)? An initial 15-minute phone interview and a 30-minute in-person tour and interview with the facilities manager.
