About the role
We are currently recruiting for one of our Supported Independent Living services, supporting an individual with multiple disabilities and gero-ontology support needs in Hope Island. This position would be ideally suited to experienced support workers seeking 30 hours per week to assist individuals with complex support needs. The participant requires skilled staff who are patient, outgoing and resilient.
We require team members who are available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleepovers.
About you
Certificate 3 in Individual Support, with traineeships available for people who do not have an existing qualification
Experience supporting people living with disability or mental health concerns either in a paid, voluntary or lived experience capacity
Tasks & Responsibilities
Support NDIS participants with activities of daily living, inclusive of meal preparation, supporting people to attend medical appointments, facilitate community access, undertaking personal and domestic activities
Implement Individual and Behaviour Support plans inclusive of following plans and protocols, collecting and collating data, attending regular training sessions
Work a variety of shifts, inclusive of mornings, evenings, awake overnight shifts, split shifts and weekend work
