We are actively seeking a Back of House Assistant. You will be responsible for duties within the back of house areas of the hotel, including the kitchen, goods-in areas, and outlet still rooms. You will assist in guest setup and ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained to the required standards to promote a great working environment.
Role Responsibilities
* Ensure all kitchen and food and beverage areas comply with food hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and proper maintenance of crockery and equipment used in the kitchen, restaurant, and bar areas.
* Accept deliveries for all outlets and housekeeping, ensuring proper storage and management of stock.
* Assist with moving furniture within outlet departments and aid in setup as required.
* Understand and comply with relevant laws and legislation regarding food handling, storage, hygiene, and health and safety.
* Support chefs as needed.
* Adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations, ensuring the correct chemicals and detergents are used at all times.
* Perform any other reasonable requests from hotel management.
The Ideal Candidate
Our successful Back of House Assistant will:
* Be capable of working across various back of house areas.
* Have previous cleaning experience.
* Understand the importance of a clean back of house and its impact on overall service.
* Possess passion for hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.
* Follow hotel and company procedures.
* Be flexible to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.
* Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
* Have a good command of English and be able to understand instructions from colleagues and supervisors.
