Your Mission:
As a Principal Product Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our products. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Providing expert advice on product safety matters to project and engineering managers, ensuring safety considerations are effectively implemented.
* Collaborating with third parties to review and gather supporting safety case evidence.
* Developing comprehensive safety arguments, both physical and functional, using appropriate safety analysis methods.
* Producing and updating safety case and management documentation in line with relevant regulations and standards.
* Leading and mentoring other safety practitioners.
Your Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Proficient in safety engineering processes, practices, and tools.
* Strong understanding of safety engineering and assurance principles.
* Qualified engineers from other disciplines with a solid grasp of safety engineering will also be considered.
Desirable:
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and engage stakeholders effectively.

The Combat Systems Safety Team:
In this role, you’ll collaborate with engineers and technical specialists on both In-Service and In-Build Combat Systems. You’ll have the chance to develop safety arguments while gaining insights into new technologies and sensor systems. We welcome candidates with military, defense, and maritime experience to help us deliver top-notch products for submarines. Relocation support packages are available for eligible candidates across all Submarine roles.
