In-House Recruiter – Engineering
Onsite | Full Time | hours per week
£32,000 – £35,000 + Excellent Benefits

We are working with a well-established and growing engineering business that continues to invest in its people as it scales. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an In-House Recruiter to support ongoing hiring across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for either a recruitment professional who enjoys owning the full end-to-end hiring process, or someone from a sales, account management, or coordination background looking to move into an internal recruitment role.
You will play a key role in shaping the candidate experience and supporting hiring activity within a fast-paced, technical environment.
This is a position where you will have real autonomy, working closely with the Recruitment Manager while taking ownership of day-to-day recruitment activity.

The Role
Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the recruitment lifecycle from advert creation through to offer stage.
You will support a wide range of hires, with the majority of roles sitting across mechanical and software engineering, so confidence in handling technical vacancies is important.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Writing and posting engaging job adverts across LinkedIn, Indeed, and social platforms
2. Managing applications through an ATS system
3. Screening CVs and conducting initial 30-minute Teams interviews, typically 12–15 per week
4. Managing a high volume of applications while ensuring a positive candidate experience
5. Coordinating interviews with hiring managers and arranging logistics
6. Supporting practical assessments and assessment centres, including graduate recruitment
7. Preparing interview packs and ensuring processes run smoothly
8. Acting as a key point of contact between candidates and hiring managers
9. Producing recruitment reports, tracking KPIs, and supporting recruitment planning
10. Working closely with the Recruitment Manager on resourcing plans and hiring strategy
11. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
The Environment
This is a fully onsite role within a collaborative office and manufacturing environment. You will work closely with hiring managers across the business and be part of a supportive People and Culture team. The business offers a high level of autonomy, with no micro-management, allowing you to take ownership of your role and make a real impact. They value energy, curiosity, continuous improvement, and delivering an excellent candidate experience.
Please note, due to the location, own transport is essential.

About You
We are looking for someone who brings both recruitment capability and the confidence to operate in a fast-paced, technical environment.
You will be:
12. Experienced in end-to-end recruitment, either in-house or agency (typically 2–3+ years)
13. Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple live vacancies
14. Confident conducting screening interviews and engaging with candidates
15. Proactive, energetic, and solutions-focused
16. Comfortable using ATS systems and recruitment analytics
17. Confident building relationships with hiring managers and influencing decisions
Experience or interest in engineering or technical environments would be highly advantageous. This could include previous recruitment within engineering, working in a technical business, or a genuine interest in the sector.
This role would also suit someone from a coordination, account management, or sales background with strong organisational and communication skills, who enjoys building relationships and delivering results.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering business where recruitment is seen as a key part of business success.
You will have the opportunity to:
18. Take ownership of recruitment processes end-to-end
19. Work closely with hiring managers across the business
20. Influence hiring strategy and improve processes
21. Develop your career within a supportive and growing organisation
Salary & Benefits
22. £32,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
23. 33 days annual leave, rising to 38 with service (including public holidays)
24. Private healthcare
25. EV car salary sacrifice scheme
26. Cycle to work scheme
27. Access to counselling and wellbeing support
28. CPD support and funded professional subscriptions
29. Clear progression and development opportunities
