About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Intelligence and Planning, you will:
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across enterprise systems, digital architecture, data governance, analytics/AI and cyber.
* Lead the technical delivery of the Children’s Services Digital Strategy, overseeing complex programmes, large‑scale system implementations and continuous service improvement.
* Oversee operational system performance, statutory reporting and data quality, ensuring compliance and value for money.
* Lead, manage and develop a multi‑disciplinary, cross‑service workforce, fostering innovation, resilience and high performance.
* Manage significant budgets, procurement activity and business cases for enterprise platforms and digital solutions.
* Act as the digital and data lead for Children’s Services, working closely with colleagues across the Council and with external partners including government departments, health, education and regional and national networks.
About You
You will bring:
* Significant experience in digital transformation, enterprise systems and data leadership, ideally in a complex organisation.
* A strong track record of leading teams and delivering change at scale.
* Experience of programme delivery, performance management and financial control.
* Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
* The ability to operate confidently at strategic, operational and political levels.
You will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience gained through your career.
