Purview of a Operations Manager
Manager-III, Operations is responsible for managing a team and facilitating the flow of information across multiple stakeholders to resolve potential issues impacting customer experience and business continuity.
The candidate should have a basic understanding of the logistics space and should be able to communicate clearly in both written and oral forms. They should also be able to develop process improvements and drive them through to completion.
Key job responsibilities
1. Constantly identify opportunities to improve team performance and manage associated change processes.
2. Develop and refer to performance metrics to drive team performance and business results.
3. Identify the business impact of trends and make data-backed decisions.
4. Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Ops Excellence, Fulfillment Centers).
5. Escalate problems or variances in information and data to relevant owners and follow through on resolutions.
6. Ability to pull data from multiple databases (using Excel, Access, SQL, or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
