Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Applications Support Officer to join our IT Applications team, supporting critical systems within Adult Social Care. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in both the day-to-day support of existing applications and the implementation of a new Adult Social Care system that will transform service delivery and improve outcomes for vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert support for Adult Social Care applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and user satisfaction.
* Assist as a technical lead in the implementation of a new Adult Social Care system, working closely with suppliers, stakeholders, and project teams.
* Collaborate with service users to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective solutions.
* Support data migration, system configuration, testing, and go-live activities.
* Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and knowledge bases.
* Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and accessibility standards.
Essential Qualifications
* Proven experience supporting complex business applications.
* Knowledge of Adult Social Care processes and systems.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Experience with system implementation, configuration, and testing.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience with data migration and integration tools.
* Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools.
* Understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks in Adult Social Care.
