As our Marketing Manager you’ll have the freedom to create brilliant content and grow the audience for our disruptive and fast-growing startup. You’ll develop and then execute our marketing strategy and track its performance across all our digital channels.

We are a multi-award winning business - we went live in February 2023, have coverage across the BBC, Sky News and ITV, and are now the market leader - we’re already selling our product in 25 councils across the UK.

What we’re doing

At the moment many people without driveways are putting off getting an electric car because they can’t charge at home - we’ve created both hardware and software to solve this problem.


We’re building a hyper-local charger-sharing network using domestic supplies. We build local authority partnerships and then install our patent pending through-pavement channel into the pavement outside residents' homes so they can charge using their own supply.

Once set up they can share their charger with other residents on their street using our sharing app. This gives residents in the UK and globally the confidence to sell their petrol / diesel car and move to electric.

Your role - overview

You will lead our entire marketing strategy to build awareness of our product in the UK and globally, then convert awareness to sales.

You’ll build successful partnerships with big referral partners (e.g. OVO energy) who need our product to sell their chargers and tariffs and other products to their customers.

You’ll be creating engaging content, growing our online community and website presence, and establishing Kerbo Charge as a leading authority in the electric car charging industry.

You’ll oversee our PR strategy, and be the lead for both our SEO and Paid Marketing agencies.

And you’ll work closely with our local authority partners to create joint local marketing campaigns to residents.


Now is the time to ramp up the awareness of Kerbo Charge as more and more local authorities make our product available - and that’s where you come in!


Your responsibilities

* Develop and execute a high-performing marketing strategy for:
* B2C awareness building - an organic, content marketing approach.
* B2C sales in our go-live areas - a multi-channel campaign working with referral and local authority partners.
* B2B sales and partnerships - our outreach campaign to local authorities, fleets, car leasing companies and energy companies.
* Create engaging and high-quality content for our platforms, including blog posts, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
* Work closely with your referral partner counterparts - to jointly create content and promote each other's services.
* Monitor and analyse marketing performance from the top to the bottom of the marketing funnel, using data to refine your strategy and improve performance.
* Manage our social media presence, growing our follower base and driving engagement.
* Be the lead point of contact for our SEO and paid digital marketing agencies - providing performance-improving feedback and ensuring they provide excellent value for money.


Experience needed:

* Proven ability to create high-quality content, work across multiple channels and platforms, and build excellent relationships.
* You must be able to write high-quality copy and complete high-quality design work.
* Proven experience of growing a social media following and engagement.
* Demonstrable interest or experience in delivering or overseeing digital marketing and also SEO campaigns.
* Ability to analyse performance metrics and adjust your strategy accordingly.
* Creative and highly proactive mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
* Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Passion for sustainability and green technology.

Remuneration and working arrangements

* Up to £35k + equity.
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays + free time off between Christmas & New Year
* Private medical cover with rewards such as 25% off hotel bookings (via Vitality).
* We’re a sociable bunch and value time together as well as working from home. Our office is in London Waterloo and you’ll be there 2 - 3 days per week so you’ll need to be able to commute there easily.
