Are you a hands-on and highly organised Site Supervisor ready to take on a crucial role with a leading Australian construction company? McMahon Services, a privately-owned leader in construction, industrial, and environmental services, is seeking a talented Site Supervisor to join our project teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality project delivery across various sites, working closely with Project Managers and construction teams across Queensland, including our Judy Holt project situated in Birkdale with expected completion at the end of 2026.

About McMahon Services

At McMahon Services, we are committed to delivering excellence across Australia. We value our people, foster a family-oriented culture, and provide opportunities for long-term employment and professional growth. Join us and contribute to diverse building and construction projects that are vital to the infrastructure of our regions.

About the Role

As a Site Supervisor, you'll be instrumental in coordinating site activities, liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, and ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant legislation. You'll play a critical role in site safety, quality control, and the efficient management of time and resources. This will include working on key projects like the Judy Holt project, where your expertise in earthworks and, ideally, waste facility specifications will be highly valued.

What You Will Do

Supervise Site Works: Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out to high standards and project specifications, including managing the construction of the Judy Holt project.

Team Leadership: Supervise site personnel and subcontractors, providing training and mentorship to staff.

Safety & Compliance: Drive safety inspections, develop and review JSAs and Risk Assessments, and implement site-specific health, safety, and environmental plans.

Project Coordination: Capture all site works in a detailed site diary, communicate with the project team, and ensure projects meet time and resource management goals.

Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures, check and prepare site reports, designs, and drawings, and address warranty and dispute claims.

Problem Solving: Find ways to prevent problems and solve any that arise, assessing and managing risks effectively.

Stakeholder Engagement: Establish strong relationships with client representatives and the general public, ensuring client specifications are met.

Contract & Program Management: Drive short-term programs to meet project schedules and notify the Project Manager of variations and delays.

What You Will Bring

Qualifications: Construction trade qualified, holding a current First Aid accreditation and a current driver’s license. You'll also need a clean police record and the ability to obtain a DCSI clearance.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of construction industry experience, specifically in managing construction sites and experience in construction scheduling and constructability. Flexibility to work interstate as required.

What Will Set You Apart

Bulk Earthworks Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising significant bulk earthworks projects is preferred.

Specialised Project Exposure: Experience in specific sectors such as environmental remediation, waste facility construction, or complex industrial civil works. Exposure to waste facility specifications with liner installation is highly advantageous.

Advanced Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management platforms beyond basic Microsoft Suite (e.g., Primavera, Aconex, Procore, or similar construction management software).

Proven Leadership: A track record of successfully mentoring junior staff or leading site teams through challenging project phases.
