Job Summary
We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist on behalf of a respected optical provider in Derby for their brand new store opening doors very soon. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality eye care services, including eye examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of visual conditions. A strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages, especially seniors, is essential.
Duties:
Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye health issues
Prescribe corrective lenses and relevant treatment plans
Educate patients on maintaining eye health and proper eyewear care
Accurately maintain patient records and documentation
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Keep up to date with advancements in optometry and best practices
Support community outreach initiatives promoting eye health
Requirements:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
Valid optometry license in the UK
Strong understanding of visual system anatomy
