Salary: AMNL £46,675 to £80,081 (for those below ST3 on 3 August 2016); CADT £65,048 to £73,992 (for those at or above ST3 on 3 August 2016).
The Faculty of Medicine wishes to appoint an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer, hosted by one of the following clinical specialties:
* Clinical Genetics
* Obstetrics and Gynaecology
* General Surgery
The post is intended for an applicant within any of these three specialities; the speciality of the successful post will be decided upon placement.
The successful candidate must be:
* In specialist clinical training at ST3 level or above.
* Have substantial experience in relevant research areas.
* Show a proven track record of high‑quality original research publications.
* Be able to work well in multidisciplinary, multi‑professional teams.
* Hold a corresponding NTN.
* Have a successful Criminal Records Bureau disclosure at Enhanced level.
Responsibilities
* Develop research and teaching within the Human Development and Health School or Cancer Sciences School of the Faculty of Medicine.
* Participate in the NIHR Clinical Integrated Academic Training Programme.
* Maintain clinical commitments at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust to acquire full registration within the specialty.
* Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary, multi‑professional teams.
