The School and the Role
Vision for Education are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive one-form entry Primary School in the Maghull area, who are seeking to appoint a nurturing and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with additional learning needs.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday (08:30am – 15:30pm), starting in September 2025 and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of being made permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will play a vital role in providing one-to-one support in line with the child’s EHCP. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and outside agencies to create a consistent and positive learning experience tailored to the child’s needs. The role will involve supporting with communication, social interaction, and early developmental milestones, while promoting independence and confidence through a play-based learning approach.

Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have:
1. Experience working with children in EYFS, particularly those with SEND
2. A patient, compassionate, and child-centered approach
3. The ability to build strong and trusting relationships with young learners
4. A good understanding of the EYFS framework and early intervention strategies
5. The ability to follow structured plans and adapt to the needs of the child
6. A willingness to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team
7. Have, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check
