We are an established consultancy specializing in implementing low to net-zero carbon strategies, designing and installing automated Monitoring and Targeting (aM&T) systems, and renewable solutions for manufacturing clients.
Having recently secured a prestigious project delivering energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions within the West Midlands, we are seeking an experienced sales engineer to bolster our sales support team. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a proven track record of engaging with clients at the director level and possessing technical sales experience in implementing aM&T systems, energy management, and low to net-zero carbon technologies.
You will collaborate with a team of consultants and technical support staff to develop and deliver low and zero-carbon strategies and technical solutions aimed at decarbonizing energy-intensive manufacturing sectors. Your role will focus on increasing our market share in the Black Country, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, and the broader energy-intensive manufacturing sectors.
Our offices are located in Rugby, Warwickshire. The role is primarily office-based with some flexibility for remote work, but it will involve regular travel to meet with clients and prospects within and outside the specified geographic areas.

The Role
1. Establish and maintain relationships with existing clients.
2. Identify opportunities, develop technical solutions, write proposals, and present fully costed low and net-zero carbon strategies to clients.
3. Prepare proposals and tender documentation.
4. Develop solutions including process optimization, renewable technologies (solar, biomass, CHP), and energy-efficient systems (lighting, heating, compressed air, Power Factor Correction, inverter drives).
5. Identify sales opportunities from changes in energy and environmental regulations affecting manufacturing.
6. Demonstrate and promote our automated Monitoring and Targeting system (aM&T).
7. Present our automated Carbon Footprinting Accounting and Reporting (CFAR) software to manufacturing companies and supply chains.
8. Support marketing and sales efforts by attending trade shows, conferences, and other events.
9. Collaborate with consultants and technical teams to develop decarbonization solutions.
10. Work with marketing to build networks and interest groups.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 3-5 years of engineering/technical sales experience with a proven sales record.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients at all levels, including board members and shop floor staff.
* Strong presentation skills for technical and management audiences.
* Ability to liaise effectively with consultants and support teams to deliver optimal solutions.
* Proficient in technical report and proposal writing.
* Experience using CRM systems daily for tracking and planning.
* Proven ability to meet sales targets.
* Valid UK driving license.
