Wood Process & Energy is recruiting for a Construction Superintendent to join our team on a permanent staff basis. This exciting role is based at a client site in Ware, Hertfordshire. If you have a strong background in Pharmaceuticals or FMCG, you're exactly who we're looking for. Requirements include:
* Appropriate level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience OR trade discipline qualified with a minimum of 7 years relevant practical experience
* Broad and deep technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated processes
* Ability to identify risk to delivery and build in mitigation / contingency plans
* Experience interpreting discipline documentation
* Knowledge of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard in Construction (HAZCON)
* Understanding of technical specifications, codes, and standards
* Understanding of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015
* Experience as Principal Contractor and CDM duties during project execution
* Awareness of Temporary Works and their design and construction requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
* Qualifications such as ONC/HNC in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
* NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management (advantage)
* SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS, CCNSG certifications
* GMP knowledge within a Pharmaceutical Environment
* Experience managing multi-disciplined projects in relevant industries
* Strong communication skills
