The advertised salary is based on a full-time schedule (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time or sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
This is a 39-week sessional position, with working hours during school term time plus in-service days.
Hourly rate of pay: £12.96 - £13.78
Days and hours of work: Monday - Thursday, 11:45-13:45

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Early Years Support Worker to join our team at Athelstaneford Nursery.
This role offers a great opportunity to develop your career and gain experience by working alongside our team of practitioners to deliver high-quality Early Years provision.
Responsibilities include supporting early years staff by contributing to a warm, friendly, safe, and caring environment for children aged 2-5 years.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Education: A good standard of general education.
Must hold an SVQ in Social Services (Children & Young People) at SCQF Level 6 or an equivalent recognised qualification. If not already obtained, you must commit to achieving this qualification within the required timeframe.
First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain it.
Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to obtain it.
SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months of appointment is mandatory.
PVG Membership
This role involves regulated work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as per the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates must become a PVG Scheme member or update their existing membership before a formal offer of employment.
