Job Responsibilities
1. Work with appropriate supervision to understand customer and user needs and how they influence design activities.
2. Support the development of design solutions to complex technical problems throughout the product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, cost, and quality standards.
3. Assist in developing and managing Combat Systems requirements.
4. Ensure comprehensive design proving evidence is captured within requirements management tools and endorsed by the appropriate authority.
5. Understand contractual and performance requirements for Combat Systems and support the definition of acceptance criteria and events during design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning.
6. Provide technical support during integrated performance and acceptance activities, including equipment acceptance from suppliers to system acceptance by the customer.
7. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve domain knowledge and subject matter expertise.
Knowledge and Qualifications
* Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices in defence, maritime, aerospace, or automotive industries.
* Understanding of the engineering lifecycle relevant to the role and awareness of the entire lifecycle.
* Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
* Awareness of Product Safety and SHE considerations.
* STEM degree or background.
