This is a vital role for a student who is currently unable to access mainstream education. The tutor will deliver personalised academic support in a nurturing, low-pressure environment - with a strong emphasis on relationship-building, emotional regulation, and developing confidence and trust. Key Responsibilities: Deliver 1:1 tutoring sessions for up to 12 hours per week (ideally over 4 days). Tailor learning activities to suit the student's interests, needs, and EHCP targets. Support emotional well-being, using trauma-informed and student-centred approaches. Liaise with parents/carers and other professionals as needed to support progress. Create a calm, engaging, and safe learning environment - either at home or in the community. Essential Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and/or EBSNA. A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching and behaviour support. Strong understanding of SEND and safeguarding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
