About Us
At Woodside, we specialise in educating young people with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team and work in our wonderful school with our exceptional students and staff.
Your New Role
We are currently looking to appoint a Forest School Teacher (Unqualified) to join our team at our outdoor setting for students aged 11-19 in Leicestershire on a full-time, permanent basis.
We seek a passionate individual experienced in helping to develop children in line with their academic and pastoral targets. The successful candidate will deliver small group sessions in a homely environment designed to nurture students and engage them emotionally, providing a secure and trusting relationship, especially with vulnerable learners.
Outdoor learning is central to our approach. The appointed candidate should advocate for outdoor learning, incorporating it into lessons, and support pupils in processing new information based on their manifestation of autism.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Working Hours
* Monday - Friday (08:30am-15:30pm)
* Term Time Only, 190 contact days
* 5 inset days
