Job Summary
The warehouse operative is responsible for packaging, handling and managing stock to ensure efficient warehouse operations. Ensuring a high level of quality control.
The role is a 6 month fixed term contract.
Key Accountabilities
Packaging & Shipment
* Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage.
* Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging to ensure items arrive at their destination safely.
* Use appropriate packaging materials and techniques for different types of products
Quality Control
* Inspect goods before shipment and identify any defective items.
* Ensure only high-quality products are sent to customers.
* Dispose of damaged or defective items according to company procedures.
Warehouse Operations & Record Keeping
* Keep complete records of all materials that go through the warehouse.
* Follow agreed processes and procedures for handling of stock.
Service Delivery & Compliance
* Deliver support services effectively and efficiently.
* Work in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet the requirements of EVOLVEBG.
* Understand and clearly communicate operational processes
General Warehouse Duties
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse.
* Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as required.
* Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to improve efficiency and productivity.
About you:
* Proven work experience as a Packer or similar role
* Certified to use forklift truck (Training can be provided)
* Experience in warehouse packing or related field is preferred.
* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
* Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* A very analytical mind, able to tackle a problem from different angles and make decisions quickly.
* Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
* Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
* Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail.
* Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Exceptional customer service orientation.
