K.A.G. Recruitment is proud to partner exclusively with a market-leading manufacturing organisation to recruit a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a high-impact role at their Deeside Manufacturing site.
Role: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits
Location: Flintshire, Deeside
Reporting to: Operations Manager
You will play a key role in manufacturing excellence, driving improvements in quality, productivity and cost through LEAN, Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 initiatives, turning data into sustainable operational gains.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion safety, quality and continuous improvement culture
- Lead LEAN, Six Sigma and data-driven improvement projects
- Apply DMAIC, SPC and root-cause analysis to improve performance
- Develop manufacturing documentation, reports and work instructions
- Conduct time studies, capacity analysis and workflow optimisation
- Provide technical support across Manufacturing, QA and Engineering
- Design tooling, jigs, fixtures and production equipment
- Troubleshoot machinery, PLCs, CNC and CAD/CAM systems
- Deliver capital and process improvement projects with financial justification
- Implement new manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 solutions
- Produce clear reports and dashboards for senior leadership
What You'll Need
You will have a degree in Engineering or a related field, with hands-on manufacturing and production engineering experience.
You will have strong project management and problem-solving skills, proven LEAN, Six Sigma, and data-driven improvement expertise, PLC programming and troubleshooting capability, CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and excellent communication and analytical skills.
Desirable
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is desirable, along with exposure to Industry 4.0 or automation, experience in additive manufacturing, and previous leadership experience.
