Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
1. Operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to designated locations safely and efficiently.
2. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
3. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transit.
5. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
7. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
Skills
8. Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid HGV licence.
9. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations and loading procedures is advantageous.
10. Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
11. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
12. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
13. Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
