About the Role
As a Sous Chef you will be right in the action in our kitchen, acting as the second in command to the Head Chef. You will cover for the Head Chef when they are not on shift, oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations and develop a high‑performance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the kitchen line during service
* Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
* Oversee, organise and encourage the kitchen team, helping to develop their skills
* Maintain the highest standards of food quality and service
* Cover for the Head Chef when they are not on shift
* Present opportunities for career progression through the Chef Development Programme, with the aim of heading your own kitchen
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience as a Sous Chef in a branded kitchen, or demonstrated experience as a skilled Commis Chef
* Proof of cooking skills and strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Salary and Hours
£13.00 per hour, plus live‑in accommodation. 40 hours per week with a reliable hours contract.
