Field Engineer / Field Support Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer – 3 months – Scotland – Inside IR35
We're looking for an experienced
2nd Line Support Engineer / Field Engineer
to join our client on an initial
3-month contract
. You'll be providing IT support across multiple sites in Scotland, with a base at the client's head office in central Glasgow and several satellite locations.
This is a
field-based role
(Monday–Friday) requiring regular travel across Scotland. A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are essential. All travel expenses will be covered.
What you'll be doing
* Providing
1st and 2nd Line IT support
(phone, email, and deskside)
* Responding to incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs
* Delivering both
reactive and proactive maintenance
to ensure smooth IT operations
* Supporting hardware, software, and user accounts across multiple locations
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in a
2nd Line Support / Field Engineer
role
* Strong knowledge of:
* Windows 10 & Office 365
* Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Active Directory & Exchange
* Hardware support (desktops, laptops, printers)
* Hands-on experience with
ServiceNow
(essential)
* Full UK driving licence and own transport
