We are recruiting for an Infrastructure Platform Engineer (On-Prem) Consultant for a permanent, on-site role.
Requirements
* Expertise in on-premise management of platforms, applications, data, and infrastructure as a system administrator.
* Experience developing automation for continuous delivery tailored to on-prem environments.
* Skills in infrastructure as a service configuration for automating infrastructure and platform creation.
* Proficiency in building and setting up development tools and infrastructure.
* Ability to understand stakeholder needs and communicate effectively with developers.
* Experience automating and improving development and release processes.
* Capability to test and analyze code written by others.
* Knowledge of system security and cybersecurity threats.
* Familiarity with NCSC secure design principles.
* Experience managing security aspects of on-prem platforms, including secrets, tokens, and certificates.
* Collaborating with Architects, Data, and Software Engineers to ensure process adherence.
* Project planning and involvement in project management decisions.
* Design, security, and maintenance of on-prem infrastructure.
* Decision-making skills with clear communication of technical decisions.
* Effective communication across organizational and technical boundaries.
* Understanding data exposure, linking systems, and streaming services.
* Assessment of deployment risks and documentation.
Ideal Candidates will demonstrate:
* Experience working with cybersecurity teams.
* Design experience for on-prem environments for application and database migration.
* Technological versatility and innovative approach within project constraints.
* Experience with change/release management and technical governance.
* Proficiency with containerization platforms (Kubernetes, Docker), provisioning tools (Ansible, Terraform), and performance monitoring.
* Experience with testing, automated deployment, and understanding government digital standards.
* Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and their implications.
* Ability to train and support teams.
* Experience managing live systems, incidents, and defects.
* Teamwork in multidisciplinary projects.
* Experience with Terraform, automation tools, and application monitoring.
* Understanding of security tooling like SAST and DAST, and on-prem DevOps tools.
This role requires or involves willingness to obtain Security Clearance, including completing a Baseline Personnel Security Standard check. Details will be discussed during the interview process.
