Our client, a respected educational institution in Macclesfield, Cheshire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Secondary Teacher to join their Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to students who have been excluded from mainstream schools or are at risk of exclusion.
Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of the PRU team, you will develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of the students, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with colleagues and external agencies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and encourages students to reach their full potential.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching in a PRU or similar setting
* Knowledge of the UK secondary school curriculum
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback
* Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to support student development
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
