Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Lead in Paid Communications (Outreach) to join our growing team. This is a client-facing role in a fast-paced media agency environment, primarily supporting iGaming clients alongside a wider portfolio of industries.
You will lead outreach strategy and execution across English-speaking territories, ensuring placements reflect each client's SEO goals, brand image, and territory requirements. The role requires strong communication skills, a commercial mindset, and a solid understanding of SEO and digital outreach.
Key Responsibilities
Client Comms + Management
* Plan, execute, and manage digital outreach campaigns across English-speaking territories.
* Identify high-impact backlink opportunities based on industry trends and SEO analysis.
* Oversee content-led outreach campaigns, ensuring correct link placements and adherence to client guidelines.
* Negotiate with publishers and website owners to achieve quality placements at competitive rates.
* Assign tasks, monitor campaign performance, and ensure KPIs are consistently met.
* Proactively identify gaps in client strategies and recommend innovative approaches to strengthen visibility.
* Manage client communications and reporting with clarity and professionalism.
Junior Team Member Training, Mentoring & Line-Managing
* Assign and prioritise outreach tasks based on team capacity and campaign goals.
* Mentor and support junior colleagues, ensuring consistent performance and development.
* Keep the team engaged and motivated through recognition, goal-setting, and collaborative initiatives.
Campaign Ownership + Development
* Take ownership of outreach campaigns, from planning through to delivery and optimisation.
* Analyse competitor backlink profiles to identify outreach opportunities and strategic gaps.
* Manage and allocate budgets and departmental resources effectively.
* Stay updated with link-building and SEO best practices to refine campaign approaches.
* Apply lateral thinking to identify opportunities both within campaigns and across internal processes.
Desired Skills & Experience
* Proven experience within an outreach-focused role, ideally in an agency environment.
* Comfortable working with iGaming/gambling clients (experience in this sector is a plus).
* Strong understanding of SEO principles, link-building strategies, and search engine rankings.
* Familiarity with SEO metrics (DA, TF, DR, etc.) and tools such as Atarget="_blank" target="_blank" hrefs, SEMrush, or Majestic.
* Previous experience managing budgets and achieving targets within a monthly framework.
* Content awareness – ability to proofread articles to ensure compliance with client guidelines.
* Excellent Excel skills for reporting and campaign tracking.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both with clients and publishers.
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and target-driven with a proactive approach.
* Leadership skills with experience in mentoring or line-managing junior team members.
