The salary attached to this 2-day per week role is Teachers' Pay Range (fringe): £33,075 - £45,037 per annum, pro-rata for part-time hours, with an SEN allowance of between £2,679 - £5,285 per annum and TLR payment.

Special Educational Needs Coordinator
(SENCO), supporting children and young people in unregistered educational provision for two days a week at Frimley Green Youth Centre.

About The Role
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical area of work, ensuring that learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive appropriate support and advocacy, even outside of traditional registered settings. As our SENCO, you will play a key role in promoting inclusive practice, safeguarding, and quality assurance across diverse and often complex educational environments.

Under the direction of the Centre Manager, and as a member of the LIFE leadership team, this role will be instrumental in determining the strategic development of special educational needs (SEND) policy and provision within LIFE.

This is a highly varied and rewarding role, with your day-to-day responsibilities including:

* Providing professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies
* Fulfilling the professional responsibilities of a Teacher
* Assisting the Centre manager in leading and managing LIFE
* Strategic overview of provision for pupils with SEND or a disability across LIFE, monitoring and reviewing the quality of provision
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of national and local initiatives which may affect LIFE's policy and practice
* Monitoring the quality of SEND support by maintaining effective systems to identify and meet the needs of pupils, whilst ensuring that the systems are coordinated, evaluated and regularly reviewed
* Attending SENDCO Network meetings, sharing updates and best practice
* Overseeing the coordination and completion of annual reviews

* A SENCO qualification
* A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation
* Confidence in working collaboratively with families, providers, and multi-agency teams
* A commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
* You are proactive, solution-focused, and able to navigate the challenges of unregistered provision
