£35 - 42k DOE + company vehicle for commercial use.
Our client is a leading European provider of analytical testing services across air, water, dust, soil, asphalt and a wide range of construction materials. They are expanding their operation in Doncaster and looking to recruit an experienced Materials Testing, Geotechnical, CMT Field, Asphalt or Soils & Concrete Technician for this Site Services Operations Supervisory position to facilitate correct Site / Laboratory procedures in line with relevant British and European Standards whilst maintaining the best customer services. The role is normally 40 hours per week, with varying start and end times. It may include occasional evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work in excess of 40 hours per week, for which either Time Off In Lieu will be granted or overtime paid at the Company’s discretion. It will also require occasional work at other locations when required in the UK and Poland.
As a Site Services Operations Supervisor, in a new unit, your help would be needed to iron out and kinks that they may have, so we are looking for someone eager to share their knowledge and experience, someone with an open mind who can:
Drive site services in Doncaster and at possible future locations with responsibility for equipment, staff training through to successful UKAS accreditation.
Continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and client deliverables including turnaround times, ensure the maintenance of the Health and Safety, Quality, Technical and commercial standards.
Liaise with clients and all stakeholders to ensure excellent customer services.
Undertake checking and reporting as per ISO 17025.
Develop and mentor the Site Services team including training or the organsining of training as required.
Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
To be considered for the role of Site Services Operations Supervisor you will have the following:
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experienced in Geotechnical or ground materials testing and full UK driving licence.
Strong customer-facing communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within a quality system.
Positive attitude and adaptability to new systems and procedures.
Benefits of the Site Services Operations Supervisor include:
Salary: up to £42,000 p/a depending on skills, abilities and experience.
Bonus: Overtime after 40 hrs and expenses paid for overnight stays and weekend working.
Hours: 40 hours per week, with varying start and end times. It may include occasional evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work in excess of 40 hours per week, for which either Time Off In Lieu will be granted or overtime paid at the Company’s discretion. It will also require occasional work at other locations when required in the UK and Poland.
Holidays: 22 plus stats (usually 8).
