About Hemsley House Nursery School

Position: Nursery Chef/Cook
We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Nursery Chef/Cook who will prepare nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals and be responsible for the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen.

Responsibilities:
* Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children, including those with specific dietary needs
* Ensure food safety and hygiene in compliance with Ofsted and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health standards
* Ensure all children are kept safe and have enriching experiences
* Maintain stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation
* Follow COSHH guidelines and ensure safety procedures are adhered to
* Deputise for the Cook during absences, with the expectation of full-time deputising when required
Candidate Requirements:
* Level 2 Food Hygiene certification
* Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
* Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
* Alignment with Storal values of responsibility, openness, and teamwork

* Salary: From £10.47 up to £12.47 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
