We are looking for a team of personal assistants to assist a 25‑year‑old male who uses a wheelchair. The client also has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. The successful applicants will receive specialised training to support the client’s needs. In this role they will be responsible for cooking, cleaning, supporting with personal care, delivering medication and other tasks.
Initially, the key part of the role will be taking the client out and about. There are no set times or days; the client will give 2 or 3 days’ notice. Trips will be locally at first, but as the team grows this could include caravan trips and other getaways.
When the full team is in place a proper schedule will be established. This will extend to providing support in the client’s home.
Both drivers and non‑drivers will be required to have a clean licence, as a mobility vehicle will be used for trips.
The role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).

* Experience with moving and handling training with hoist and epilepsy training would be beneficial; otherwise training will be provided
* Having a clean driving licence (if driving)
