Job Title: Contracts Manager
Location: Kent (with relocation to Gravesend office)
Salary: Circa £50,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Sector: Fit-Out & Refurbishment (No New Build)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join a growing construction business specialising in fit‑out and refurbishment projects. The role requires a commercially focused individual who can manage multiple projects and contribute to successful project delivery from pre‑contract through to completion.
The position will be based from our Kent office, transitioning to our Gravesend office, with a blend of office and site‑based working.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing multiple fit‑out and refurbishment projects from pre‑contract through to final account
* Full responsibility for contract administration and compliance
* Working closely with the commercial team to control costs, variations, and profitability
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
* Overseeing site teams and supporting project delivery
* Identifying, managing, and mitigating contractual and commercial risks
* Providing regular progress and financial reports to senior management
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts
* Background in fit‑out and refurbishment projects (essential)
* Solid experience in contract administration and cost control
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence preferred
Working Pattern
* 2-3 days per week office‑based
* Remaining time site‑based
