What you will be doing: Becoming a member of the instrumentation team establishing the skills for gauge application, instrument routing, electronics, and engine harness work. Diagnostic investigation of engine and test bed related issues. Responsible for quality of instrumentation installation in line with instructional method alongside relevant specifications. Working across a broad range of product with often tight timescales. Proactive approach to production system sustainment, with ability to constantly identify and implement improvements. Focus on safety, quality, customer and delivery. Managing all tasks in line with FOD & Segregation adherence as set out in the Defence UK policy, Understanding priorities and owning the commitments for turnaround of tasks. Time served apprentice with appropriate aero-engine skills. Electrical experience required 18th Edition certification desirable, Overview knowledge of aerospace product is desirable. Qualified to NVQ level 3, City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent. Practical knowledge of working with tools and techniques, Computer literate, Able to work at pace whilst maintaining attention to detail. Ability to fully interpret instructional / process drawings. Although not essential, an appreciation of instrumentation, risk assessment and COSHH is desirable.
