Secondary SEMH Support Assistant

We’re working with a fantastic SEMH secondary school in Durham that needs a Teaching Assistant to support students who learn a little differently.
A typical day
Expect variety, challenge, and plenty of rewarding moments.
You might be:
* Supporting learning in smaller, structured classrooms
* Helping pupils stay focused and engaged in lessons
* Guiding students through emotional or behavioural challenges
* Supporting outdoor learning or practical activities
* Helping students develop confidence and social skills
Some pupils may have had tough experiences in education. Your role is to help them rediscover that learning can actually be positive.
What you bring
* Patience and resilience
* A positive mindset
* Experience supporting young people (education, care, youth work, etc.)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
