Offer description

At Severn Hospice we are proud to be recognised as a centre of excellence for palliative and end of life care and have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate practitioner with expertise in education and governance to join our forwarding-thinking team.

In this rare dual role, you will play a visible part in both the clinical and educational settings, supporting the development of a proactive and robust clinical governance and quality framework while also leading the design and delivery of education and training programmes that equip our staff and volunteers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to provide the highest standards of care. The hospice also provides education and training for university medical students, and the healthcare and care sectors and your role will include responsibility for the management and delivery of this offer.

With a drive for continual improvement of our clinical services, you will work closely with the Director of Care, Matron and Medical Director to lead on integrated quality governance across the domains of safety, clinical effectiveness, quality assurance, and patient and carer experience. You will provide expert advice and support to colleagues, ensuring our services remain safe, person-centred, and aligned with both local and national quality standards.

Drawing on your clinical knowledge and passion for education, you will also coordinate and deliver a range of innovative learning opportunities, embedding evidence-based practice and promoting continual professional development across the organisation. With your excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, you will build strong relationships with clinical teams, professional leads and external partners, inspiring others through your guidance, expertise and commitment to excellence.

If you're dynamic, well-organised and a great communicator who thrives in a collaborative, highly rewarding and supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you.

The Company has experienced unprecedented growth over the past few years. We have a vast number of employees, and provide support to clients from all over the country.
