We are currently recruiting experienced Wood Machinists to join one of our clients, based in the Wakefield area. This is a straight permanent role with the company, for the right candidate. This is a hands-on role involving traditional wood working equipment as listed below operating within a fast-paced, high-precision environment. Duties: Operate spindle moulders, 4cutter, planerthicknesser, dimension saws, and other precision joinery equipment Learn and operate beam saws and additional manual/CNC machinery Select the appropriatetools, machines, and settings for each task to ensure accuracy and efficiency Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in compliance with health & safety standards Occasional forklift driving The candidate Previous experience in a machining or manufacturing role. Individuals with a can-do attitude. Strong logical and process-oriented thinking with good problem-solving ability. Attention to detail is key, as well as an ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Desirable Health and safety qualification NVQ 2-3 in joinery Forklift certification Hours, salary and benefits Hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:30/ Friday 07:00 - 13:00 (42 hours per week). Must also be flexible to work overtime on a weekend during peak periods.
