An established UK engineering and manufacturing business within the renewable energy sector is recruiting a Graduate Design & Technical Engineer to join its growing technical team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands‑on experience in product design, technical engineering and renewable energy solutions, working closely with experienced engineers across live projects and R&D activities.
Key responsibilities
* Support the design and development of engineered products using 3D CAD software
* Assist with concept design, detailed drawings and basic value engineering
* Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and documentation
* Support research, development, testing and inspection activities
* Work alongside senior engineers to assess product performance and suitability
* Assist with preparing technical drawings, manuals and reports
* Provide technical support to internal teams and assist with customer queries
* Attend meetings, site visits and occasional industry events as part of development
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (graduate level)
* Experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD (academic or placement)
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Full right to work without a VISA
