Overview
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Microsoft & Data Centre) to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in designing, delivering, and optimising enterprise infrastructure solutions — leveraging Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and modern data centre architectures. Working within our Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, helping clients modernise their IT systems, improve resilience, and adopt hybrid and cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and support Microsoft-based solutions (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure).
* Deliver consultancy on modern data centre technologies including virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
* Lead migrations and upgrades from legacy systems to cloud or hybrid platforms.
* Assess client environments, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
* Provide technical pre-sales support and solution design input.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality, end-to-end projects.
* Mentor junior engineers and support escalation cases.
* Ensure all work is documented to a high standard and delivered within scope and deadlines.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong background in Microsoft technologies:
* Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP
* Microsoft 365 & Exchange Online
* Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
* Knowledge of storage, networking, and backup technologies.
* Proven experience in data centre migrations and transformation projects.
* Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Experience in an MSP or consultancy environment (preferred).
