We are seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are resilient, adaptable, and committed to nurturing student wellbeing and academic progress.
About the School:
* Specialises in supporting pupils who have experienced trauma, school refusal, and those with high-functioning autism.
* A nurturing and structured environment that uses trauma-informed approaches to education.
* Pupils can often appear unsettled and require calm, confident adults who can support them effectively through relational practice and clear boundaries.
Your Role:
* Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within the classroom.
* Helping students to re-engage with their education by providing consistent, structured support.
* Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Responding flexibly to changes in student behaviour or emotional needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with pupils with additional needs, particularly those with trauma backgrounds, ASC, and challenging behaviours.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage emotionally dysregulated behaviour with empathy and professionalism.
* Strong sense of boundaries and consistency to support emotional development and learning.
* Someone who can adapt quickly to the changing needs of the school and its students.
* A commitment to full-time, term-time work with the aim of securing a long-term, potentially permanent position.
